There's a questionnaire type interview with me appearing on the Best WebComics site:
http://best-webcomics.com/tangled-river/
Check it out.
Just discovered this and got caught up. You have obviously given a lot of thought to the story - so far it hangs together very well. Your skill at drawing - especially faces - is impressive, and I like the muted hues you have chosen. This seems more realistic than flashier colours.
You seem to like feedback about how readers perceive the story. My guess is that the "event" was some sort of sabotage by a member of the colony who thought (thinks?) that technology is a snare and a delusion, and that a more primitive lifestyle is better. FWIW, I disagree with that sentiment - primitve life is "nasty, brutish, and short" (Hobbes, IIRC).
Thanks Bathymetheus. What does your screen name mean, by the way? It looks Greek.
I wish I could confirm of deny your guess about the backstory, but I've sworn myself to secrecy. All will eventually be revealed.
It is indeed Greek. It's a Douglas Adams reference, but that's all you get until you reveal more about Tangled River!
Oh please . . . Yoda with a blunderbuss?! That's so far off-canon it shows the interviewer has no idea what they're doing.
I didn't quite get that Yoda comment either. But, I was happy to have the interview published.
