Yessss!
Also, Tanya is tougher than she knows. Which is good, she'll need that much and more.
I've been following Tangled River for a few months now and just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy each new page.
Hand up everyone who zoomed back to page 6 to compare to the (theoretical) illustration of the Terra Nova.
So this looks: 1) smaller, 2) less wrecked than expected, 3) more intended for atmospheric travel. Gotta be a shuttle of some sort!
At last! A long journey to get here... Now for some answers?
An epic journey, by two very remarkable women. They've definitely earned whatever they've reached... The ship is remarkably intact, suggesting it didn't really crash; some degree of control (if only decelleration)was clearly used.
Looks like someone - or something - still survives on board. Otherwise the ship would have splattered itself all over the landscape like a egg against a wall.
It looks remarkably intact for a un-powered ballistic reentry.Something would have had to fly the ship down or it would be spread across the landscape.
SpaceX can already bring down their rockets to soft-landings. There might be a clever AI using the available thrust to best advantage at the last few seconds. (But you're right: it could also be people that did it.)
