Still not sure if what Licorice says is true or not... Especially that yeah blood remark. But I can't blame Tanya of being tired of her.
Although it's cool to see friendships dissolve in fiction especially in a way that's not melodramatic. It's common in real life but rare in stories.
I'm not sure who's objectively right here, but I'm thinking there's a little too much reckless enthusiasm...
It's not wrong to be loyal to your group and want to defend it. Dehumanizing anyone outside the group is where the danger lies.
Not sure if their friendship is really ending here; they're both young and circumstances could change for them again. But Licorice having killed does make a difference and kudos for Tanya for not dancing around that.
It took me two days to reach here. I must say this art style reminds me of Nintendo Gamecube games graphic arts, for it is efficient AND effective.
I just have this persistent feeling that the locals are running the humans through the equivalent of mazes. That they're not nearly as primitive as they seem. Whereas some of the humans actually are.
Lord help us, I had an instantaneous severing of friendship over ethics too. I'm glad our protagonist is finally able to see that Licorice is bad news. She really, really is.
