Sorry I'm more than a day late on this page, and I might have to skip next week. You see, I'm going to the Lucca Comics and Games Con in Italy the first week of November, and my plan is to print up some copies of Volume 1 of the Italian translation of Tangled River to hand out to publishers. I need to do a lot of work to get that book ready to print, so I need to focus on that. I'll get back on schedule soon. Here's a link to the Italian language version:
Tangled River- Italian
Heyy! Italy! Have a great time, and I hope the publishers there are smart enough to know a good thing when they see it.
That's fine. Knock 'em dead over there! A few missed posts won't hurt us. :)
That's what I thought too, but now I think she's just happy to meet a fellow human immigrant to the alien culture(s), and a fully accepted one at that.
I can't claim to be good at interpersonal relationship dynamics, but I think that humiliating Tanya without provocation like that means Liquorice is pre-emptively putting down a potential rival. That means her interest in the human male is definitely more than just friendship. What this says about her relationship with her non-human boyfriend is unclear, but it seems unlikely to reflect well on her character.
